Gira CO₂ ambient air sensor

In schoolrooms, conference rooms, and meeting rooms: wherever there are a lot of people, the CO₂ concentration can build up quickly. An increased concentration of CO₂ in a room has a negative effect on wellbeing, the ability to concentrate, and on performance – starting already at a CO₂ concentration of 0.08%. The maximum value of 0.1%, as recommended by DIN 1946, is often exceeded under current building standards and due to the high density of building shells. It therefore makes sense to automatically monitor air quality in these types of buildings.

The Gira CO₂ ambient air sensor measures the CO₂ concentration in the air and uses a red or green LED to indicate if it is above or below the specified limit. An upper limit of 800 ppm to 1,500 ppm can be set. If this limit is exceeded, a corresponding function can be activated via a relay changeover contact, e.g. open window or switch on ventilator. The internal buzzer can also be triggered by excessive concentrations of CO₂. An external light such as the Gira LED signal light can also be activated in order to display the CO₂ content and the need for ventilation.

The Gira CO₂ sensor is the first on the market that can be installed in a flush-mounted device box to match a design line.
